Ok this is annoying, so I go to rollover my Comair 401K into my current 401K so I call Fidelity and they tell me they can not wire funds or cut me a check because they show me as an active employee (for those that don't know me, I was furloughed in '08 and took the buyout earlier this year). So Fidelity tells me I need to talk to someone at Comair, transfers me to Comair's switchboard, who transfers me to the beneficiaries line, who transfers me back to Fidelity. Anyone else had trouble with this? Who do I need to talk to?

Maybe I should wait a week or two then call Fidelity again and tell them I can't be an active employee because the airline doesn't exist.

I'll just call you later. I think I still have your number. Thanks, Terantious!

I had the same problem when I got furloughed back in 09 when I wanted to convert it into a Roth. My only options were to keep it with Fidelity or resign my seniority number. I ended up just keeping it there until I found better employment and resigned. I would hope you could just wait until next week when the company no longer exists to put it somewhere else.

In 48 hours Comair will no longer be ALPA.

In one of life's unfair blows, TIM IS STILL ALPA
