My girlfriend (an F/A) got back to JFK last night from a trip and called to tell me that they were the only aircraft at gates 23-25. It was around 2230. Where were all the Freedom planes? Out completing their 100% days I guess

Thats funny a friend of mine got off the plane in CVG and saw 50 planes. Oh ya they were parked to go back to the leaser. Maybe they will make beer cans out of them so I can drink to Comair.

I will buy one with my unemployment checks, so I have a place to live when I can't pay my rent here! Oooooo, I hope they leave the "By Comair" by the front door of my trailer

I like the joke, but since JFK is a "hub", it is not uncommon for most of the aircraft to RON at an outstation and operate the first flight out in the morning back to JFK. I wouldn't read anything into it....

She was returning to JFK from CVG, so I told her "Well, you saw all the planes parked in CVG, so you know where all of our planes are"

Go to their website. They are accepting apps only. One of my friends there says they will be interviewing sometime in march. We'll see.

The way i look at it, their first year pay is slightly more than our second year. One of my college budies there made Captain in 11 months. Doubtful that'll happen againanytime soon, but 2 years is a possibility. Better chances there than any regional I can think of.

I heard some rumblings about them filing BK... So I'm not sure If I would go there??? They have lost money now for at least the last 4 quarters and their stock price is less than $1. Any thoughts???

They all are losing money -regionals, legacies, fractionals, etc.-, with few exceptions. Avantair has a well funded cash reserve, so I believe they'll be ok.
