It's funny, everyone in airline management these days thinks it's their superior managerial skills that is responsible for record-breaking profits. Except at 'merican, where their bad luck is due to those damned unions.*

*Second sentence is a joke.

A day behind on this, but "happy" one-year anniversary to all of us! Hope everyone has found bluer skies and/or greener pastures!

Still a sad sight to see CVG be like a ghost-town. Anyone hear whether anyone is going to start operating there? I know Southern Air is opening there and last I heard Southwest was looking at it, but I haven't heard any other rumors. Such a shame to see the airport completely wasted.

What did all those senior pilots end up doing? Heard a bunch, including my favorite ex CP ( think short man syndrome- MR) ended up at GoJets... That guy cared more about pilot hats than doing his job..

He didn't stick around. Left early on.
Lots of guys in trans states and gojet (where's the vomiting emoticon). Some overseas. Imagine spending 15, 20, 25 years in this company, but having to hightail to china or worse yet, FO at TS or GJ with a faint promise of a 6-9 months upgrade, just because they can't afford the 2-3 alimony and child support payments they have. If that's not an argument for staying married and not cheat with the FAs, I don't know what is.

I know a lot of us are at ExpressJet in ATL. We were welcomed with open arms, and the negotiations turmoil there is NOTHING like it ever was at OH. And, we're getting iPads.

CVG is plenty busy on the cargo side on the back side of the clock. Southern was going to move their HQ to CVG, but their airplanes were already operating there.

You'd never know the airport has lost most of its business from the inside. New shops, renovated restaurants - it looks much better than it did when it was busy. No idea if another carrier is coming, but I think they finally shook up the airport board.

Several of us were able to take advantage of WIA funding to get 737 or A320 Type Ratings. I just finished my A320 Type and have been in the Omni pool for 11 months now!

I tried that, but apparently Michigan had no freaking clue what WIA is. Called everybody.
