Just a theory!
I have to agree with that. A few weeks ago at recurrent, we were advised of the plans which included the extra flying for another carrier, in addition to attaining the 900's from you know who. The contract for the 900's expires in Sept. so staffing must begin now in preparation.
However that being said, it was mentioned that the plans do change almost daily especially with economic hits with oil prices. It as aso mentioned with the loss of Frontier flying the CEO for RAH may entice DAL to implement their 170's for a price as well. Many scenario's out there and the reality is that this BS oil scam is dictating on what direction everyone may go.
The only thing for certain is what happened yesterday so enjoy today. We are hiring and for that I guess we should be happy regardless if we get the 900's or not. Many airlines have gone down in just a matter of two months.

I think they said the announcement that would come in the 5-10 days was the potential growth within Delta, which came about 10 days after the web conference. I also kinda wondered about the 170s RAH had and if Delta would pick them up.
Their 900s contract is up in September for you know who??? They don't even have all of them yet.

Great, still 11 from the bottom.

98-111 lines, with 178 eligible FOs on the list. Looks like next month will be a lot like this one.

HORRENDOUS.

To think I actually had hopes of a better month. I should have figured the list would shrink some more.

Is there anyway to get them to award more than 11 days off a month to the reserve guys?

I mean, to have at LEAST 67 FOs on reserve (from those rough calculations) is an obscene number.

But i'm sure they'll stack up as many as they can.

You know what's even more pathetic

67 first year pay FOs for a month at 75 hours guarantee only costs the company 110K

rant temporarily over

It happened to me once a few months or so ago, I got 12 days off but I have a feeling it was an overlook on scheduling's behalf (not that I feel scheduling eeeever makes any mistakes). My favorite is I have 4 off, then 2 on, followed by 3 off. Those 2 on happen to be a weekend...way to spread out my days, like God forbid we have a weekend off here or there.
