Oh all you new guys come on over to the 70/90 its great over here!!

My guess they aren't going to fill all the spots to get the 70 FO's up to the min 175 because right now they just flat out don't have the staffing in the other areas to draw from. If you look a all the mins the only one that is staffed is JFK FOs and we all know that is going to change this summer. Just flat out need to hire tons of people, which I guess they are finally going to do. But I agree the 70/90 is great.

Excellent observation.

I think this means we may see consistent upgrades in the near future.

Let's hope so. If they do that hiring will get easier and easier for Comair

They seem to have been putting out a bid for captains every month now since January. They have been from 15 to 30 captain slots. If this trend keeps up, Blue Moon and I will hopefully have a captain slot (for JFK of course) in Sept. or October. (That is if he has a bid in for JFK a.s.a.p.)

The only thing bad about the 70/90 is having to go back to the 50 when you upgrade.

Good things about the 70/90

They climb like a MOFO and cruise easy at .83/.82
Never having to stick your head in the hell hole to ad or check oil.
Forward lav
Dedicated pilots bag compartment that is easy to get your bags into.
Bleeds are automatic.
Adjustable temp control.
FADEC I repeat FADEC!!! Set it and forget it!
90 has dual FMS
Over head reading light
Longer trips with less legs
No more C terminal
Whiz wheel for w & B
Supposed to have a jetbridge for the 90 every time but that doesn't happen

did I forget anything?

How many legs a day do you JFK guys usually do? Most we do is 5 in a day, and that's not too common. Just wondering if it is similar over there.

Hey Chow,
Ron Porter in Compliance got my paperwork together for me (after I called) and I had to watch the video. I don't know if the pink paper would have sufficed, cause I threw mine away. I had to orchestrate the process myself and it takes several days and two trips to the SIDA badge office to get the badge. You have to wait for your background check to be completed before they issue the badge. So don't wait until the last minute (like I did!!!).

See you soon. The 70/90 is nice......

Damn skippy...I'll be on the first train out of Northern Kentucky.

The 70/90 is a nice plane...there are however drawbacks to being on it.
