Comair updates?

HA, thats a good one. Do you really think the new Delta is dumb enough to bring the pimple on their butt to the new airline. Why would they merge those three when they could have done the same with ASA and Comair years ago. I ll tell ya, they want to keep their options open and whipsaw. Also, the Delta pilots, do you honestly think that they would want a Comair guy to flow up into Delta, not a chance. Most Delta guys don't want NWA guys at their airline. Plus, the new pilot group would have to ratify a flow through/down. And I don't see that happening though. The guy is right, if you want to take a chance and go to Compass or Mesaba, I would choose Mesaba over Compass, it is well worth the risk. A quick upgrade 2 yrs or less, and if you get pushed out on the street at least you have some PIC. CRJ SIC time is not worth the ink in the logbook.

Nobody knows if J.O. fought this or not. You keep pursuing the internet, you won't find anything....
First you tell us to hang in there and have a positive outlook, and then you are advertising about Compass? You do know that with a flow through, there is also a flow back, and who knows, most likely Compass/Mesaba/Comair will be merged together. Why don't you go work for Compass? All your posts on this thread are nothing but crap...

Oh, and if you don't like my post or the thread I STARTED, APC has many other topics I'm sure would garner your esteemed presence. We try to keep it professional on here, personal attacks are not the way to go.

Yeah, it would be, but I think it would be smart thing to do. Merge all the wholly owned together and integrate them into Delta. At the end, you will have 1 Airline (Delta), 1 seniority list, 1 corporate HQ (ATL) and 1 Operations Center. Done! Wouldn't surprise me if DL is headed that direction...
No, it's not Nicole Whitehead. She actually went to the same flight school I went to and just finished her training when I started going there...

on the list merger, how would you do it to be fair. the most senior person at Compass could probably barley be a decent line holder at Comair if you went DOH.

You don't do DOH, you do relative seniority. Our senior guys would be PO'ed...but oh well. Being an FO, who was getting near an upgrade before this recent mess started, I would lose out quite a bit...but still relative seniority is the only fair way. I wouldn't think of asking for DOH...I am not that guy.

They'd be asking for "relative seniority" for sure. If they are in the top 25% on their list, they'd be asking for a slot in the top 25% of a combined list.
If there were a straight DOH merge, there would no doubt be fences put up to protect people from being pushed out of their seat.
