Delta would never take all of Comair's 700's and 900's and put them at an airport that cannot accommodate them with Jet bridges.
I think it's awesome.
1.) cincinnati is a dying hub.
2.) JFK is a growing hub..one can hope comair will grow there, as Delta continues to increase their international presence
3.) If Comair goes BIG into JFK, and a lot of senior folks are displaced..I'd be willing to guarantee MASSIVE amounts of crusty CVG Comair captain retirements
4.) Everyone wins, F8 goes away...and Comair once again owns CVG and JFK, we start hiring in April of 2015 and I become captain in May of 2020 and retire a crusty CVG Captain. MAN i love it when it goes full circle.

True dat. I remember the day in a 90 when they took over 90 minutes to bring every passenger to us at Pad 11. It was windy, raining and not a single pax had a smile on their face.
If Delta cared about their "seamless" regional product, they would have done something about 23/25 a long time ago. Out of all the times I was there in the 90, only once did we get a jet bridge. Freedom always had gate 17.

I left my sunny 68 in southwest FL this morning, up here in Philly for the week. It's 30 and snowing. I guess I will have to shovel mom's driveway (like I did last week!)....

NOTE: Not trying to demean the original posters unemployment status, just emphasize how much it sucks!
If you live in a freezing cold place...that would stink too.
I live in a warm place and have fun sitting at the pool and texting my sister in IL and asking how she is enjoying the snow and -0 temps. (She hates me
)I also set my goal of catching one of every fish in the Gulf of Mexico, which is keeping me busy.
I have a friend that was furloughed from Xpressjet in October, he is still on unemployment and enjoying picking up some side jobs.
I just got my first unemployment payment. Yes, that stinks!
I do miss the flying (a lot), but there is finally a little less stress of the last few months of "You're displaced, now you're not, you're furloughed, now you're not, oh wait, now you are". This company puts everyone's lives and familie's lives in limbo and it does not seem to bother them.
It's all where you live and what you make of your time. If you live in CVG, where life is boring, yes sitting around would s#*k.
