Early out doesn't close now for another 13 days or something like that, but are you suggesting that senior captains would get displaced to JFK and quit instead? While it is not impossible, I think it's a long shot.
Just like you think there would be a shift in flying to get the senior captains to JFK to make up the freedom stuff, there will be a shift in freedom's flying down to CVG, so there won't actually be open flying in JFK.

yeah, I swore off coming back to these boards since I never see anything good, but I couldn't resist. Been in MCO for 3 weeks now and each Wed/Thursday when I think I'm going to go home I look up the wx in IND and decide I'll stay another week....
Don't read too much into this whole "realignment of flying" with regards to the court case, which is, btw, still being decided. Delta has to proceed business as usual with whatever plan they have for the DCI carriers and invading CVG (even more) with Freedumb just happens to be on their list of things to do.
If Comair does have a future with Delta, it should come as no surprise that the northeast will be our new CVG--minus the sparkling G.O. with all the lights on at night. While this is not the most convenient option for many, after being out of a job since the 19th, a commute to JFK sure doesn't sound so bad. I'm interested to see how this plays out!
