It may appear to you that I am all about the Union, but this is not true. It just looks that way because I am trying to point out some things to some junior guys that may not understand why the Union or the Company act the way that they do.
I am not on Reserve and I haven't been for a number of years. However, when these fuloughs happen there is a good chance that I will go back on Reserve so I want to get back into the mindset. Things have changed with the reserve language and I am going to look it over in the contract. This is just a quick source for information when I don't have the contract with me. Also beats looking at the electronic version on the website.

Displacement bid (is/was) out. Looks like up to 74 CVG CAs and 75 JFK CAs will be displaced back to FOs. Most of them will most likely go to the 70. Make sure your standing bid is up-to-date, since we will have too many FOs now. Some of us might be displaced back to the 50. If you are a CA with seniority number 673 (10-Jan '01 hire) or less, you should be save.

This is all about the new figures that Delta came out with on there 2QTR conference call. Up to 100 RJ reductions through schedule reductions and contract(CPA) ammendments. Also in their 10K filing, Delta is pretty much planning on not extending or renegotiating Chautaqua's contract in 2010. basically they're trying to decide whether to take on leased aircraft from CHQ and S5 per the contract or make a payout on the aircraft.
