You are absolutely correct. If they are NQ then they cant bid. I was just trying to answer the other guys question on how to bid for the CD line.

Be careful what you wish for.......

CD lines out of JFK can be a nightmare, or lack there of since you'll get no sleep. But, if you commute, the hotel room beats any of the crashpads around there. FWIW.

They are nearing the end of IOE and will be qualified by the end of the month. And, if it makes you feel better, they will probably be on reserve in February.

Carol Connelly: OK, we all have these terrible stories to get over, and you-...

Melvin Udall: It's not true. Some have great stories, pretty stories that take place at lakes with boats and friends and noodle salad. Just no one in this car. But, a lot of people, that's their story. Good times, noodle salad. What makes it so hard is not that you had it bad, but that you're that ****ed that so many others had it good.

I think that's the point of giving it to the most junior person. Evidently the CD lines that were left weren't that great and nobody wanted them. If they stuck it on a more senior person's line, that person would probably complain that there are people junior to them that should get it. If the NH isn't qualified by the time it rolls around then I'm sure they'll adjust and give it to the most junior person that is qualified. As far as the other person that got a normal line, that's interesting. Let me know what you find out.

I haven't seen it at the hangar. Is is this one? If yes, I voted for it. I don't have to fly it, nor have the desire to go to the 70/90. i just gotta look at it.

I saw the new paint errr mirage yesterday. Damn thats ugly. It's worse then the 50 seater that looks like it came in from orbit from all the dents and burned off paint.

That paint scheme looks as bad as the Eagle's new uniforms.

Day Available. It's a reserve day built on a line holders line to meet the line value. Look at mine this month on the 12th and 13th.

As for the same company NO! SKW & ASA are COMPLETELY different airlines on COMPLETELY different certificates with COMPLETELY different labor groups and Mgmnt; all owned & managed by SKYW INC (Umbrella Company on paper). Who was created in order for Jerry and friends to branch out more into the industry.

SKYW Inc = SkyWest Incorporated (Jerry and Friends)
SKW = SkyWest Airlines (SKYW original airline)
ASA = Another SkyWest Airline (sorry couldn't help)

I wish all ASA pilots the best.
Thanks for the great info. The new CEO over here says he wants to grow the company. May just be dose of kool-aid but as a new hire here Im hoping for growth, although with age 65 we might be seeing a little bit of a slowdown now. Anyhow, wasn't Mesa supposed to be flying 14 900s out of ATL for Delta? Since Mesa surely won't be able to staff those maybe they can send them to ASA.
