i am speechless at this thread, you have pilots asking questions about something then you have older grumpy pilots putting them down. what is funny is that why you guys are arguing amongst each other the management and the republican goverment is screwing us all in the ***. why don't you use your supposed wisdom into something creative and fight what is so bad about this industry instead of put down the people you need to fight it with. and i know that most of you are all republicans thinking that they are looking out for us but as long as money is in poltics they all, and i say all, will screw the lower guy to get what they want done.

Bill, I got question for you. If you hate flying so much then why would you come to a forum that just adds salt to the wound that is your job, pay, pension, ego, and life?

There are people in this world who define their reality through other peoples missery. The problem with that is if they think they are the most miserable SOB around they create some missery for someone else to elevate their own opinon of themselfs.

I think your one of those people. I think it would be interesting to see what you think is the 10 most important things in life.

P.S. you are dwelling on it.

XBox Dudes,

Just you guys wait. It will only take a few years of getting kicked in the crotch by this industry and you all will be a little grumpy too. However keep it coming, Its kind of fun to read all your Mary Poppins style of posts.

sky high,

your response shows that you expect us young guys to get hurt when this industry deals some low blows, but what your maybe forgetting is that some of us have seen this industry change over the last couple of years and are willing to ride the wave. maybe you would not be so down about it if you had known what could happen. it is typical of older people to hate the younger crowd for some reason when it comes to alot of things, you always hear old people talking about back in the day when i was your age, and how we have so easy now days. drop the hatred for the people who are sitting in your shoes when you were starting out and unite togther to make this industry better for all of us. you talk about how you hate what the union does for you guys but i see a bunch of indivuals complaining about the same things when it should be a group.

You've got to be kidding me!?!?!? You're in for a world of hurt, man. Anywhere you go, you will be on reserve. We've all done it, so will you. Sounds like you'll do anything to fly a jet. Reserve isn't always a bad gig anyway. Sit at home, get paid, and have a life outside of work. not as bad as what you may have heard from someone. Your post just urks the sh!t out of me though. Too good to sit reserve!?!??!

careful what you say. the noobs will castigate the **** out of you and you will have to suffer epithets like "bitter old man" or "just because you have thousands of hours doesn't mean you know more than a 250 hour PFT wonder". you've been warned!

i could be catty and say something like, "hey, anniken! your screen name says it all!" but i won't. what i WILL say, however, is that your intolerance is showing.

what a knob.

gee, i guess i was going to try to convince some of you youngsters not to **** on the profession any more than you already have with your PFT schemes, "i'll pay YOU to fly", and, "a pilot shouldn't make more than $100,000 a year!" views and maybe get you to think what the profession actually means. sadly, i think i finally figured it out; many of you guys think flying is just an extention of your nintendo or x-boxes and nobody ever paid you to play with those. why don't you ask those pinnacle guys if it's still a game. oh, wait, you can't...

as far as "dwelling on it", whatever you say, mate. i thought i was just trying to answer all the attacks.
