First off, I personally don't think Teamsters would've faired any better. But THIS vote was purely ALPA, and SkyWest pilots recognized that, and would not have voted Teamsters.

Perhaps, I guess we'll see, but I doubt they will. They've lost enough money on us.

Also based on the judgement I read, I'm not sure ALPA will win even if they do pursue it.

Everybody, except the 6 who voted for IBT and SAPA, knew that any vote was a vote for ALPA. You probably even know that.

And finally, neither IBT, nor SAPA, were even running for the job.

Nice try, as lame as it was.

I'm thoroughly convinced that ALPA won't see any failure on their behalf, it's all them thar dumb SkyWest pilots.

I understand and agree, I just always enjoy the "I'm not anti-union, i'm anti-ALPA" excuse yet no one gets off their arse to meet with the teamsters and start an OC.

To clarify, I'm neither anti ALPA nor am I under the delusion that any other union would've done better.

SkyWest pilots said today no to unions at SkyWest.

I do think most SkyWest pilots are pro union thinkers in general if that makes any sense.

Out of curiousity who do you fly for?

You're better off with JoJo the circus clown as your lawyer and business agent. He'll cost less and probably do more for you just by accident...

Ya know, if ALPA was really all about right and wrong for our pilot group, they'd continue the good fight against bad SAPA.

Ya, right. You won't hear squat from them if there's no chance on cashing in on 1.95 percent times 2800 pilots for the next hundred years.

I changed the title of this thread to more accurately represent the content and to keep people from posting multiple threads.

Colgan,

I had no dog in the fight, I wasn't directing my comments towards you. They were directed towards those who say their are just anti-ALPA not anti-union. Someone who is pro union rather have a union they aren't thrilled with then none at all. How's life Ed?
