The training is difficult, but finding housing up there is really difficult. The only positive is the current crews living up there help each other out and find free space until they can find a more permanent spot.
If I had any suggestions, Bcalis....put an add in the Williston paper for now and see if you can rent a room. Don't expect any responses that are cheap, but maybe you can PM BenS and see if he has suggestions or leads. As far as being out of there, I've heard some valid rumors about moving the MX base, but I'm not willing to believe anything until official word. With 2 other airlines flying out of there starting in NOV, I can't see us continuing 5 flights per day. |
denver in november!!!

The oil boom is consuming all the available housing. High demand, low supply, and high wages being paid the oil field workers means housing costs are high.
|
Maybe could put a camper up somewhere.
|
I looked at buying a camper untill I saw rent for an RV space is $800 per month.
Ridiculous. |
I wouldn't want to be living in a camper when the temperature is 25 below and the wind is howling at 40 mph. This is North Dakota.
|
Yeah one of the guys in my crashpad tried doing that, it's cost prohibitive.
|
I hope Denver in November!

What are the other junior bases for the EMB-120? Wondering where I would go if they do close the base at Wiliston.
