Oh NOT AGAIN didnt this happen in Feb last year to a Shuttle Flight in CLE, I know under Much worst conditions but I hope this is not a Trend maybe this should be a Focus area in Initial or Recurrent.. I am happy no one was hurt tho

From what I know of this recent event, it was nothing compared to the Shuttle cluster last year. Entirely different situations.

Did they go from the runway into the grass? or the high speed into the grass?

There aren't many taxi way edge lights at JFK, I think A and B taxiways are the only ones with edge lights.

We have all seen this. ATC stacks us in too close, tells us to clear active ASAP and we get on brakes to make turn off. If this is the issue I have two problems.

1) ATC should have had the trailing plane go around, it sucks but much safer.
2) If you can't make the taxi way...do not try! Tell ATC cant make it and have plane go around.

yeh, agreed, we all enjoy being able to "help the cause" but at the same time, don't let ATC fly your airplane for you. And typically, when i think of myself forcing my airplane to do something it doesn't really want to do, then i think i probably shouldn't be doing it....

I'm thinking runway into grass as they were exiting maybe? They had to still be over part of the hold short for tower to send the rest missed no?
