Default CHQ rj off runway

http://archive-server.liveatc.net/kj...2008-2200Z.mp3

go to about 13min. I feel really bad for the guys but both them and the controller handled it well. The missed instructions etc were on the ball.

Was it rainining up there today? Sounds like the controller was rushing the guys, but unfortunately it will fall back on the crew, which sucks. Just like teaching initial, its your runway until you can safely clear. If the controller has to send some around he shouldn't have stacked them so close.

The controller came on giving instructions like he had already given them. So I'm guessing he thought they were taking forever where in reality they were stuck. I guess the crew just needed a minute to gather what all was taking place.

I don't know. It seems like it stays with tower after they are told to go to 121.9. I don't know how the archives work. Perhaps there is another link of the 121.9 to hear more of what is going on. Anyone fly in there yesterday? I'm wondering what the conditions were. Wet or windy. I've taken the taxiway mentioned a few times and don't remember there being any grass there. I wasn't really looking though either. So I'm not 100% sure if it happend at the exit to the taxiway or if they were off the side of the runway a little prior to it.

I was non-reving home last night when this happened. Clear night and a left crosswind not bad at all for JFK. We departed 22R and I saw the CFR trucks and lights around the area. It appeared they went off into the grass abeam the ramp entry for gates 23 and 25 just prior to the highspeed.
