Chief pilot message..
Attrition Update So far in February, we’ve lost 12 pilots. This may sound like a huge number 7 days into the month; but keep in mind that attrition for a given month pretty much ends on the 15th of that month as a very high percentage of pilots give us at least two weeks’ notice of their departure. For that reason, attrition for the month of February will pretty much close at the end of next week.

DCA is relatively senior, but only at the top end.
Bid for what you want, not for what you think you want or what you can hold.
As a new-hire you will almost certainly be on RSV for a few months. But if you are willing to bid for reserve instead of a line you can probably get what you want faster. If you really really want DCA, put DCA RSV on your bid sheet and you'll likely get it right away.

I am a newer FO in DCA and can tell you that you should be awarded DCA pretty quickly after class, but you will most likely be doing an extra couple months of reserve compared to any of the other domiciles.

I can't believe the attrition has continued to hold steady at that high of a rate. Good news for those of us wanting to move up though. I almost bailed a few times due to the stagnation but waited it out and am glad I did.
