Take the CL30 if you have a choice, negotiate a type rating out of the gate, and enjoy flying an airplane that actually has climb performance
. You may have to move, but your services will always be in demand on a CL30.91/135 flying is much different than 121; I got stuck in Dallas for three days with a broken airplane my first three weeks into the job here where if I was still at an airline I get on a DH and go home. There's also much more to the job than show up, drive point A to B and back to A, then go home. That said, my position has exceeded all of my expectations and I have no regrets about leaving AWAC...especially when I consider my current QOL and compensation.
I do very much miss the DCA crewmembers I worked with though...and that river visual!

Yeah I used to work for the company as a Line supervisor, 15 mins from my house....they have since merged with sentient flight group....The 300 would be my choice...i know what u mean about climb..lol i came from a learjet 60...7000 FPM was normal...lol
With the exception of one leather jacket wearing DCA Capt., ive had great experiences here so far....i dunno....we'll see what happens...glad things are working out for you though

As far as awac training, i thought it was awesome, super instructors that stayed and answered questions, very fair sims and overall a great time. I guess I'm new and am drinking the koolaid alittle to much, but I kinda like it here so far, as a new dca fo on reserve.
