FYI to those of us new hires, FedEx won't give a discount until we have our company ID's. Back to your regular scheduled programming...

You have to be an employee for 6 months to get FedEx discount. You can try smaller stores with your ID but if you go to a main store they won't budge on the 6 months.

I shipped stuff home from new hire training class in CLT without any issues. I just showed them my ID and they had no problems with giving me the discount.

Any skinny on how long for family travel bennies to kick in? Same as the previously reported 48 hrs for the NH, or is it loneger? Or Should one gently nudge the folks there to make sure all gets activated before end of Indoc?

Default Interview and MTP Gouge

Hi all,

New applicant here, scheduled for an interview in the next couple of weeks. I've read that the Sheppard Air Interview prep is the way to go to get ready for the interview test but what parts do you all recommend focusing on the most? I've read discussions about how Aero and IFR are emphasized but haven't seen much about the Weight and Balance section or any of the other sections. Has anyone had any Weight and Balance Questions recently? Also, outside of flight school and some recreational GA flying, all of my flight experience has been as a Marine helicopter pilot and civy EMS helicopter pilot. If anyone has any gouge on the challenges of making the transition from rotary to fixed-wing, I'm all ears. Better yet, if you are one of the folks in the Military Transition Program please take a moment to stop in and share your experiences.

Thanks,
Phrogfella
