The contract says that the stand ups are not illegal, but that the company has to consult with ALPA before they can be built into the schedules. There's only 1 for Nov as far as I know, which is the LGA-BUF. It's really a sweet deal, 11 hours on duty and 8 hours of credit. Doesn't get much better than that. I'd do it.

In my last CQ, the only person who came to talk to us on the first day was John Pfeifle. Johnny B said he was bumped off the CLT flight, even though the ASAP guy made it down. Anyways, Pfeifle talked about his meeting with Parker and the VP of express and how Parker said that a merger with PSA was out because they have 8 year captains and we have 25 year captains so it wouldn't work. I was hoping for something a little better. If we merged, I feel we might have a future. If we don't, I think we're gone as soon as that 25th 190 goes to Republic an they still need more cash to pay management their annual bonus!

So in this week's Ask Piedmont. I asked if we needed to turn in our wings once furloughed. Pike responded with: If you have less than 3 years of service with the company please turn in the epaulets, hat emblem (if applicable) and wings with your manuals upon being furloughed. Tks. Pike
Why in the world would I turn my epaulets in since I paid for them. Will I get my $10 back from M and H? And IF a recall occurs, I would then have to go out and buy a new set.
Any guys on the October furlough have to do this?
