um...we'll look into it. But unfortunately your request has been denied due to coverage. (Sound familiar Honestly though, nothing big last week and this week doesnt come out until 5pm today. Dont hold your breath for anything good. More than likely we are all tied to the sinking ship now.

From the 'November Flight Operations Update', put out today, 11/24:
Regarding Staffing-
"We have 71 pilots and 26 flight attendants on furlough status. We remain hopeful that we will see a turn in the economic environment which will allow us to call everyone back to our airline. Currently, we see no further need for additional staffing reductions and are projecting a pilot and flight attendant recall in May."

not that I ever believe things posted on the lavwall or anything, but this was posted today.
"We are getting DHC-8 2hundo's from Mesa. 16 total aircraft. 6 to be based in PHX, and the others to replace our oldest 100's. That's the word from the training department as well as Hey Buddy. Discuss."
Anyone talk to hey buddy, or steve furlough recently? I had heard that they were "aggressively pursuing 200s" but this sounds a little crazy. Where does airways get the money to put up for the 200s?

The saddest thing about that is they wouldn't have to be "Aggressively pursuing 200's" if they hadn't gotten rid of them all 4 years ago.

I both do and don't want them back. God knows how many gremlins are in those planes due to their maintenance. I got a buddy at Skywest who flies the Brasilia. They have an ex-Mesa plane that they can't get the gremlins our of no matter what they do. Plus they took our APUs out....in PHX!!

Can we start doing the flying this winter? I'd like to go skiing out west this season.
I don't care if they have gremlins. We can just write those suckers up. It would be nice to get a few people off the street.
