I do know Farrow was in PHX this week to discuss PDT taking the Mesa planes. Seems operating 6 aircraft is not worth it for Mesa. Also, since United is dropping their contract there is the chance more Mesa Dashes will be on the market. Rumors of a PHX crew base may pan out. We'll see.

Since the announcements have come out that the YV UAL DH8 operation is getting pulled down, I've started looking for these aircraft on aircraft brokeage sites even though the exit from service is still a way's off. If my recollection is correct, several of the PDT lease returns in the last year showed up available online before they left the PDT fleet. If we don't see the YV ones up anywhere, who knows, maybe a deal is already done, PDT or otherwise.

So I heard about the possibility of 13 200's for PHX with "hey buddy" as the chief pilot out there and DJ moving up to Salisbury. Also something like 11 300's opened up in the market that Piedmont is thinking of bidding on. Any current pilots hear anything more regarding this? Heard this from a family friend who is a captain.

I've found when I was there that just asking SF or JB questions face to face, they are often pretty candid with their answers (a lot more so then they are on Ask PDT). That's how I found out I was getting furloughed. So someone, next time they are flying SF or JB around, just ask em.

I have heard the same thing about 200's nothing about the 300's. The news about the 200 was actually told to our instructors while they were in training this last month working on the new program for next year. Also word is that the recalls might be earlier than expected and might include more pilots than originally expected.

I heard Air Nostrum (Iberia regional) in Spain is looking to get rid of some/all of their Q300s and that PDT is looking at them. I think they have 13 total. Would be nice to pick these up especially in addition to Mesa's 200s. Although by PDT standards they may be too nice, considering they are Qs.
