Well the poster I was responding to was upset that the union did not minimize the number of furloughees. So yea, that's what my response was about. I'm sorry I didn't get my facts straight on something I wasn't even talking about in the first place

Here is the proof... From the Teamsters to all CHQ pilots.

"To those pilots who are involved in a decertification effort or who may be inclined to do so, it is incumbent upon the Union to educate you on the individual consequences of your actions. Section 20.D. of the Local 747 Bylaws spells out the responsibility of a member to the Local Union as a condition of membership. This Section contains subsection 4. which states, "[n]o member shall engage in dual unionism or espouse dual unionism or disaffiliation, or be a party to any activity to secure the disestablishment of the Local Union as the collective bargaining agent for any employee." Any Union member who violates this provision can be subject to expulsion and fines in conformity with Section 21: "Charges and Trials." We realize that many of you have never been in a Union and may not be aware of the consequences of fostering cessation from the Union. This is the most serious Union crime that a member can commit."

Just like Hotel California, you can't check out. Talk about a one way group of criminals. Glad we dumped these boys a very long time ago.
Well, the truth is, you can dump them too.

Once again folks, I just want to say Thank You to those that are in support. We just want the public to know whats up with the Teamsters. By making it public that threats were made, it shows the *real* Teamsters and what they are really about. Not only that, we feel that by making more people aware of the illegal actions, even if they are in bylaws, this may quiet down the hostile efforts of the IBT.

As posted above, the entire pilot group was given a "general" threat about wanting to decertify. This is ILLEGAL. This is proof that this Teamsters union is a joke. A laughing, money stealing joke. Apparently when they made these "bylaws" they didn't bother to research the labor laws, otherwise they would have known they couldn't put this bylaw in there. Besides, these bylaws would have no place in legal court.

Once again, thanks for the support. It will take time before things with the organizing effort come forward. There is a lot of ground work that needs to be laid and right now, the organizing group needs the IBT off their backs. I wish I could take more part in the this effort, but I'm just doing some networking for my fellow pilots.

Cheers.
