you need to pay more attention. It is obvious from the posts now on rp.org that people have been threaten as the "I have never condoned" threads are popping up by multiple people (SG, ZH etc etc) to distance themselves. They are taking names and the teamsters WILL TERMINATE anyone for TREASON that tries to overthrow them or even have the Government re-manned by someone other then the oh-so-great Gene and Tiff. Dont believe me? I can line you up with the numbers of those that will not publically denounce the Teamsters because they have been very clearly warned that even a word about it will cost them their job. Even the "informations posts" (you know the ones..."i will not condon this and will have nothing to do with it, I'm out...but if you do: this is where I would look/how I would start") are very much in fear of a lost job and have retracted even these posts to save themselves.
The Teamsters are wrong. They have poorly represtented the RJet pilots allowing more furloughs then needed without any pressusre on the company to save jobs, poor contract language resulting in abuse and loop-holes for every greivence, the unlawful and non-represtatation of an entire crew termination based on the word of a hotel house cleaner (but not until after the company allowed them to finish the trip...) and much more. My money, my votes and my confidence are lost with Teamsters.

Somebody is paying attention.
If you would open your eyes, you would see what the Teamsters are doing. Of course they wouldn't make public threats, which is why you don't see them. If you think they would make public threats, which we all know are illegal, than obviously you live in a sheltered box.
The whole point of making these actions public is to make known the cowardly actions that the IBT are willing to take against their OWN members, who PAY their salaries. Republic pilots were merely supporting our fellow flight crew, and in the heat, some things were said about the representation, or should I say "lack of" representation by the IBT. In turn, the IBT has followed up with threats.
If you're a Republic pilot and you are unaware of whats going on, than you need to visit RP.org and open your eyes. Read between the lines of the posts your fellow pilots have made about "I'm out". After all, this is YOUR representation that is selling our pilots down the river.
Say what you want about airing this post here, its accomplished what we've wanted. Thanks for those in support!

RP.org is still private. The intention lies there within. That's like them trying to fire us because we met in the bar, talked about the union, and they lip read us from across the room.

I'm sorry guys are getting furloughed, but I'm amazed that this is somehow the Union's fault. Not the companies for failing to protect the business or find homes for 17 E-170's...but the UNION's!!!

As far as having the right to complain, I've been with the company less than 9 months, and have volunteered 3 times to help out the union. All 3 times they said: "We'll get back to you..."
I hope things get better after all this. People on both sides of the table are opening their eyes & ears.

I do want to read about it. The more I read about it the more I realize how immature and ill-informed our pilot group is. The fact that some of it's members would bring this into a public forum only furthers that belief for me. I'm sorry guys are getting furloughed, but I'm amazed that this is somehow the Union's fault. I understand you guys want proof. If I was personally threatened, you'd have your proof. Problem is, the few that have had the talk with the EXCO, are not posting at all. They're contacting legal resources and the such to know their rights. After all, they've just had their jobs threatened. Don't expect to see "immediate" proof of the accused actions.
The IBT is rapidly trying to dispell any rumor about threats made. They are breaking out the damage control kit because they know they can't get away with scare tactics. You can believe your Union or you can believe your fellow pilots. You take your choice. What has your union done for you lately anyway?
More will come to develop on this case, the problem is some people are engaged in some legal battles and therefore can not disclose public information about threats. We don't believe the union has a list, but we've been told they presented a bunch of posted information on the RP website and presented it to the 747 Counsel, because we are engaging in Treason per the ByLaws.
