I think all flying should be at mainline. We all get a mainline number and we fly the 200 and 900 for their wages, maybe even better than their wages. Then when they go out of business because they couldn’t afford to pay us then we can all complain about how we don’t have a job and that is because of company "b" made us lose it. Wait this is a business and we are competitors I forgot about it. We will never be united because we all value bringing home a paycheck because we have our own bills to pay. I hate mesa but I do not expect them to quit because they still have bills to pay. every pilot group needs to stand up for themselves when they are in talks for their contract and want to make you life better at your own company will make it better a crossed the board.

Oh they have the extra money to pay us they just don't wanna pay us more cuz theres too many people that dont give a hoot and will accept flying for these low wages cuz they just "wanna fly a jet"....dont believe me, RA gave himself a nice little $8 million bonus after the merger was complete....

Your making assumptions that seem to make me know all hear all see all...i don't know who our how many people at ComAir are getting furloughed, of course I'm distrought at the fact that other pilots are losing their job, just don't make me out to be the bad guy when I'm trying to find out the facts, go read your posts...you took it in a whole nother direction, don't put yourself up on a pedestal...

Can you put this in english so everyone else can understand?? Thanks...

That would be a pay rate of $6,526.81 per hour assuming he hasn't worked any overtime since he started last September.

Who says airline pay ain't what it used to be?

This is America, Land of the Free. Nothing says you have to be a pilot. If doctors make so much money, go be a doctor. If you want an $8 million dollar bonus apply for a CEO job. If you don't like being a pilot, please quit.

Here is the truth to the story and I think pilots hate to admit to this. Anybody, if they really wanted to be, is capable of being a pilot. You are not that special, not that talented and yes, not even that smart that anybody walking around on the street today couldn't do your job. So if you wanted to make money, why are you a pilot?

It is, minus the pilots!

I'm not even going to start, but someone will. I'm assuming you're not a pilot.

This is a man (or maybe a woman) who is VERY bitter and upset about not making it to the airline position he/she always wanted. Your attitude is the reason our wages are so low. You have no business being on here and I hope your comments and attitude don't rub off on anyone else on this site. I just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading and responding to your comment.

We are that talented, we are that special and we are that smart. When you work as hard as all the rest of us to get to this point you just MIGHT understand that.
