That's why you print out the confirmation number and part that reads: "I am AGAINST the tentative agreement..." and carry it with you!

Still no more days off, no rigs, no inflation adjustement, no move days, the company's discretion to re-assign your trip if it falls outside the "on time" window etc. etc. (Commuter hell all over and now we have to check-in 2 hours prior - Sheesh!). C'mon, it's not like we asked for much! Now, where's my "400" sticker dammit!!!

We should just merge this thread with the "Will Fly for Free" thread...

There must have been a lot of Mesa pilots out there that said they were voting no and then voted yes. I was fairly vocal about why I felt this TA deserved a no and it seemed almost everyone I talked to concurred. I honestly only met a very small handful of guys that said they were thinking of voting yes out of the large number I spoke to. I was honestly surprised when I found out the TA passed.

This checking in for flights requirement is not so that they know you're aware of the flight, it's so they can JRA you when we start running lean on pilots. Instead of on the release, it's going to be a JRA when you check in. Seems obvious enough to me, why not others? And what is with the 24% of pilots that didn't even vote?!?!?! That enrages me! At least the pilots that voted yes voted! It's a good thing I'm not given any responsibility other than to fly airplanes because if I had it my way, that 24% of pilots would be fired. How could you not care enough about your own QOL and the industry you work in to call a 1-800 number and give up 2 mins of your time?!? It disgusts me!

I'm proud to be 1 of the other 399 that voted no on this thing.

FWIW, I voted NO...not surprised it passed, though. I figured the vote would be close. In the mean time, I'll just go to work as usual, however, as someone just about in the top quarter of the seniority list who is the most junior line holder in base, if this contract's PBS degrades my quality of life I will stop paying dues, continue to use my ALPA magazine as leak-protection for the trash can, my pin will go into that same trash can, and I will permanently divorce myself from the union.

I thought the TA was a step in the right direction, but I always viewed it as a rough draft. Don't accept the sucker, send it back for some much needed improvements! Now by accepting the TA, we've lost the ability to do that.

But Mason, we don't fly for free. Our F/O's get a $.45 cent raise in January of 2010, with the new TA.

What? Isn't that good?

A very sad day indeed. If you were here last time you'll remember that 3 out of 4 voted yes, yet every single person you talked to said "Of course I voted no"....so be prepared. I still have my original "against vote" receipt from '03.

I guess the 418 were thinking lets live to fight another day, while the 400 were thinking this is the other day! Thanks.

What do you guys have to do now? Physically check in at the airport 2 hours prior to your trip??? Please tell me that's not the case...

When I left a few years back there was no check in technically since I don't recall where or who to check in with. 45 mins officially from what I recall, 30 if it was not the first day of the trip. So, I assume it's the same(or was). 2 hours? That's ridiculous. At Brown we only check in 90 prior for an international flight, 60 for domestic.
