More specifically the Canada trips (that’s the country to our north) depart around 9 in the evening and return around 8 in the morning, crediting (that means how much you get paid) slightly over 7 hours. This means the pilot (the person flying) basically gets the entire two days off.

As we enter another Great Depression, as Charles Darwin had explained, the "Herd will be culled", there is no doubt that we all know that. Clamoring for justice, is like crying out for help in a room full of deaf and blind people, when seeking fairness in the corporate airline environment.
Then there is the issue of karma, what comes around, goes around.
mulhalo.
J.O has been on the fortunate momentum end, time and time again, and he has always been walking away the victor. He rarely was in the right, or Just, position, but that stuff really doesn't seem to matter. It should, we all know that, but it just doesn't. Delta, like J.O. will screw anyone anytime for a quarter, its just this time, Mesa / Freedom, has the bad cards in their hand, and that's it. There is no way they are going to win this dirty deal. Delta, this time, has the opportunity to throw its weight around in the face of fairness, and what is right, or Just, and subsequently, this time, Delta, with all its pomp, and all its glory, will prevail, you can bet on it, and that's that.

I See Delta setting the Precedent, If they do set it, then they could probably do it to other regionals as well. They just might pull it off, making it a landmark decision.

Before you and the rest of the ladies continue gossiping let me inject some knowledge into this PTA meeting. A lot of MAG pilots liked the standup lines. Why you ask? Some people don’t live in base (we call these pilots commuters). Standup lines usually commence in the late evening and conclude in the early morning, making it very easy for the “commuter” to get to and from his domicile (his place of work) on the same day.

I have no idea what the deal is nowdays, but I'm not sure I would take your word for it based the above quoted misstatement of fact.

Please quote one of my false facts, if you can actually find one I'll retract it.

I'm going to have to throw the you-know-what flag on this one...I was there over three years ago, doing those LAS standups, and we did NOT get our own hotel rooms, or any hotel room at all.

Other than 30 minute naps during a turn, I have never slept on one of our airplanes.

Better check your timeline again. They started doing the one-room-for-the-whole-crew thing in mid 2006, not sure what happened after that. There were DEFINITELY no hotel rooms for LAS standups in 2005.

Dude all you guys group Mesa pilots as wanting shortcuts. I live in PHX. Why would I commute to work for Air Wisconsin, Horizon, or Pinnacle. I maybe would have went to California for Skywest. Your generalization of Mesa pilots is far off.

99% of the pilots I have talked to at Mesa/Freedom have always stated that "they went there for the fast upgrade" not because it was a good company to work for. If you are in fact the 1% who works for MAG because it is convenient to your home base, I wish you the best with your employer.

No, that wasn't the point of my post. My point was that there is a lot of false information floating around about Mesa. I try to curb that. Ricks info is dated and often false.
I simply give facts, and correct people when they give false info about the airline I work for. I would hope you would do the same thing regarding your airline.
This thread is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Purple continues to post false information, and I am attempting to correct him.
I don't consider Mesa a shortcut, nor do I have regrets about my career.
