No Cat 2 is strange with Dual FMS ......Only 1 switch on the fire detection panel.....Auto bleed transfer I hear.....I wonder if the temp control actually works or if it's still like the 200....Hot or Cold. Either way it looks good.

Bombardier will no longer deliver CRJ900 aircraft with single FMS configuration. Trust me, if it was optional, Comair's 900's wouldn't have two. They'd only have one oxygen mask if they could get away with it.

No to both questions. I think it actually caused furloughs. Didn't they trade 10 "-9s" for 20 Crj200s?

Deal or No Deal?

The temp controllers work great in both the CR7 & 9. I think an American went up there and told them that cold air doesn't raise and slap some quality recirc fans on her.

Yes they do have Auto Bleed Xfer. It's a nice "idiot" reminder after T/O at 1500 if you forgot to shutdown the APU.

It didn't cause the "F's" because those CR2's don't start coming off line until 2Q2010, if anything it prolonged larger cuts. Hopefully the economy will rebound and they’ll have a pickup in attrition to offset, regardless to bought them another year.

From what I understand when 9E ordered there first 200's we tried getting them with no FMS but Bombardier wouldn't have it.....hahaha. Talk about Cheap and they weren't even the buyers

JO did the same at Mesa. Just look up front in the majority of their CR2's and you'll see just how much JO cares about his pilots, he wouldn't even spring for the better pilot seats. I still can't believe how crappy those things are. Not that the ones in the pic are that high of Q.

The "F's" came due to very low block hour utilization of aircraft for 2009. Had the 900s not come all 140ish pilots not protected by the contract would have been pinkslipped.

As far as CATII the airplane just came straight out of the factory. There has to be an FAA approved training program and everybody has to be trained before we're signed off. Lots of work still to do in the coming month before the plane goes into revenue service. They even flew it all the way from KBTV at FL280 because its not certified for RVSM yet.

That's what I figured. Thankx.

Once I flew from ATL to HOU at FL240 (due to a/c restrictions) all while working our way around a hurricane. Instead of our normal route down toward GCV-AEX-ROKIT9-HOU and across we went ATL-BNA-MEM-SHV-LFK-ROKIT9-HOU. That was a long flight and a lot of work ducking and weaving.

That's enough for now, since it will change again in 2010, 2011, 2012...

Oh, wait you meant the CRJ-900 regional jet, right?
I highly doubt that is the F/O pay scale. 6 years and they are making more than a Captain at most regionals....no way.
