I don't put Cape Air in the same group as the regional carriers we compete with such as Xjt, SKYW, Republic, TSA, Mesa, etc. Among the 50seat jet operators I don't believe there is much of a difference in service levels between the carriers. It is all about pricing when bidding on fee-for-departure contracts with majors. Customer service isnt something most regionals(or majors for that matter) put much effort or resources into.

Default American Eagle is adding three Bahamian

American Eagle adds Bahamian flights from Miami International

[email protected]
American Eagle is adding three Bahamian airports to its fall schedule out of Miami International Airport -- bringing back service to Governors Harbour, Harbour Island and Treasure Cay for the first time since the 1990s. The American Airlines affiliate also will be returning daily service to Georgetown, Exuma, and adding a second daily flight to Marsh Harbour. The new flights at MIA

Thats a juicy one, but I wouldnt be surprised. They used to have a few A300s running MIA-MCO, but now it is all 757s. Maybe they need some ATRs as well to pick up the slack.

Just got an email about a Dominica overnight. 1.5 hours from hotel

For all the ATR folk that should prove to be an interesting trip. I think I'll pick up some OT for that trip if it comes up just to try it out.

Skywest, by a long shot. Sorry, I'm a former Eagle guy but Skywest's operation is better in almost every category.

From a customer standpoint what makes Skywest better than other regionals? I know they have ExPlus seating and cabin configurations that arent allowed by scope at AA, so that aside what makes them great? Would a customer pay more to fly on Skywest than on Expressjet(if route and equip were identical)?

Maybe the public needs to compare seniority and experience in both AE vs Skywest and decide who is the safest...

I'd take Horizon over Skywest and Eagle anyday.

Very senior experienced pilots.
Free newspaper.
Free Beer or Wine.
Not a single fatal accident in the history of the airline.
