i can’t speak for everyone but I’d like to hear more about YOU. Teach me old, wise one? How can a millennial like me become as self righteous and judgmental as yourself? TEACH ME!

I have to take that van ride because I'm on company duty. Why should I use my own personal money for a tip for a van ride that I have no choice to take in service of the company. If they reimbursed me for tipping sure, fine I will, but they don't, I have to pay out of my own pocket for something that's in service of the company, so I don't. That's my personal choice, I don't tell others they should agree with me, and they don't tell me I should tip. Simple as that.

Now you are just talking nonsense. What would have made you think I talk to the crew about what I discuss on this board?

This has pretty much been the point most sane, rational and non-judgmental posters have been saying. If you want to tip or feel the driver deserved one, great, go for it. If not, well then dont.

However, there are three in particular that believe you either tip, or the crew and society as a whole will deem you selfish, immature, a millennial (whatever that is supposed to mean in this context), rude or any other derogatory name they decide to call you. They are pretty self righteous in their viewpoints and hold ZERO excuse for you not to tip short of poor service, which of course, is in their opinion. You having your own opinion of what service is deserving a tip is irrelevant, because we have social justice warriors on this board that will TELL you what adequate service is. Thank god for them or I wouldn't survive operating with the general public.

The company does reimburse you. It is called per diem.
