Yup you got me. We sat back and did nothing and rolled over so 75% of us are on the street.

Random drug screening time.

I think what would be best is for our Union to come to an agreement with the Midwest Pilots/ALPA in a united front so Midwest crews fly these airplanes. After all, wasnt that the original agreement when we (RAH) got involved?

Message from CEO Tim Hoeksema - Midwest Airlines

Feel free to pee in that cup anytime because that's exactly what you did. I mean you didn't exactly sit back and do absolutely nothing you did come here and bicker a lot but that' about the extent of it.

There's nothing disputable about what I'm going to say next. You had the legally backed opportunity to make sure something like this didn't happen. Blame it on everyone else as much as you'd like but that's the truth. You looked at dollar signs only and went from there. It's not our fault that you couldn't look past your nose with this but it IS our problem now. Most of us want o move on in life to a legacy carrier. It's why I'm here and now those opportunities are slipping away for every last one of us at the regional level because of crack-pot contracts and operations like this. I know this is harsh as can be but looking forward, something a few should try for once, it'd be better for the industry as a whole to get these aircraft off a regional carrier. Whether it's watching Midwest go BK or having us be threatened by DAL/NWA or others that we'd be competing against they need to go away.

Just wait until Frontier announces their exit from bankruptcy and its plan to become part of the the RAH family. That will be the day that we can officially say that the bottom fell out. Look for it early fall.

what mainline job you going to move to? Republic's 190? The new transatlantic bottom feeders set to replace united and continental and british airways?

the republic pilots on this thread remind me of an ostrich with its head in the ground. happy place. happy place.
I'm not a Bedford man.

I'm just pointing out the fact that the pilot group at RAH can only work in the confines of the CBA currently in place and the RLA. Just like the guys at Midwest. They already tried to strike but could not because of their CBA and the arbitration results. I'm not blaming just the Midwest guys...I'm blaming EVERY pilot in this industry. I blame every single airline pilot working today because no matter what level of this industry you work every one has at some point accepted wages/work rules that were not appropriate.

People like to pick a group to blame. The spot light moves around but the message is always the same: "God I can't believe xxx pilot group is doing xxx. I would never do that." When in reality they already have done "that" and have justified it somehow.

And to answer your question about seat mile cost....are you serious. Think about it.

717-Midwest pay-88 seats
190-RAH pay-99/100 seats

Even with Pastor Bedford's profit margin it is still reducing seat cost.
And stop worrying about pax getting bumped. The midwest management quit worrying about the passengers a long time ago.

Like I said everyone in this industry owns a little piece of this **** cake.

But RAH pilots are the ones that might have a little trouble getting to work from now on.

Not saying that I approve of denying a RAH pilot...I'm a j/s guy and disprove of the use of the jumpseat for political purposes, in line with ALPA policy.

But I think the anger is very much there. You guys just became the new GoJet, even if no fault of the majority on your property right now. 'Sucks.

I agree with most of it but the GoJets part. I mean common. Those guys knew darn good and well what they were signing up for and getting into. This isn't over yet but at RAH we get things thrown at us with no prior knowledge then have to deal with it. Completely different animal.... Welp time for bed.

You're right, man, different circumstances than GoJet. However this just became the symbol of everything completely f'd up in the airline industry, and RP the nexus of every airline pilot's frustration over what's happened in the last few years. In that sense, you've become what GoJet was a few years ago.
