And sorry but SCAB comes pretty close here. Maybe you arent crossing a picket LINE, however Midwest guys who fly a plane with one fewer seats then you will be are out of a job. They had better pay rates, better work rules, better schedules etc. By them saying NO to flying these E175s that were all but forced down their throat put them out of a job. On the same note, you are all now saying YES to flying these two new planes (with options for more) for a lesser pay rate. Other then you arent ONE pilot group, you are basically crossing the LINE. Sorry SCABS! Just like Gojets.
Yup Definitely agree and with Flyer00. I think the meaning of the word scab definitely needs to be expanded to include this kind of thing. No doubt about it. The cancer is spreading. Worse than Go jets in my book. Go jets screwed over one pilot group which is bad. This screws over the entire industry...

So the First Regional Airline to fly the CRJ200 are SCABS
The first to fly the CRJ700 are SCABS
The first to fly the CRJ900 are Scabs
The Avro are SCABS
see where I'm going here!? I understand if it makes you feel better about yourself!

All U guys can sit on your high horse and pretend that You regional airline don't take more responsibly than My airline or the next person's regional airline! You guys are so one tracked minded and would jump on any bandwagon! Noone over here is happy about this, we don't even have 100seat pay rates in the Contract. So before these planes Ever get flown there's some work to do!
I got offers from Airwisky, ASA and PSA.... THREE for THREE. Never applied to RAH or sent a resume since when I wanted out it just didnt make sense to. Some how you got on with RAH at 500 hours, I dont know how. But for me living in Mason Ohio and PSA makes sense? Keith I know I have many friends there, but if your union does not do something to prevent this, its a new low. Sorry, just got off the phone with Marcus and I remember when you wanted TSA and it was the greatest thing in the world. But if your UNION just sits back and accepts these on property, sorry but I dont think there are many out there that will welcome an RAH jumpseater. I just see this as bad news all around bud.

To you Republic guys: enjoy trying to find a jumpseat, and you can probably kiss your dreams of being hired at a major goodbye as well. Once a scab, always a scab.
Wow you didn't read ANY of this thread did you! If you had you would realize that NONE of the Republic pilots want this to occur! And they have the opportunity right now in their contract negotiations to get paid the correct rates ie. JetBlue rates, for flying the E190 as well as the E170/175's. As has been said throughout the ENTIRE thread as well as other threads, the pilots ARE NOT TO BLAME here! It's Republic and Midwest managements that are messing with both Republic and Midwest pilot groups. So if any other pilots decide to refuse jumpseats, just remember, payback's a *****!

I still don't get the rationale that its somehow Ok to your company to fly big RJs with around being that they've taken someone's higher paying jobs but not ok for someone else!

Whatever guys! I got better things to do than sit here on the Forum and attempt to make myself feel better by talking about someone else! I got beer to drink and girls to see! Life would be alot better for the rest of you guys if you did the same!

Now you and I both know you dont have any ladies to go see. Marcus and I both know that too (just confirmed via text). Dude no one is blaming the bottom FO's for this. Not much you can do as a low low reserve FO. Its for those higher up to initiate and us to get on board with. Its not a matter of the REGIONAL world, however its the fact of SCOPE and protecting EVERYONES future. Its hard to have a career and or advance in the industry if someone else is willing to fly a larger plane, that is capable of going coast to coast for such poor wages. There's a larger issue at hand with this one. Many of us can accept the CRJ900 and the E175. May not like it but can accept it. This is a whole new level though. Its all.

I see what you're saying, regionals are contractors, bottom feeders. But wilth all due respect no regional has ever flown mainline airplanes with regional crews and all the while replacing 270 or more able major union pilots. Now they just have and I hope midwest can strike because this is industry changing and should not happen.

You might want cover up your ignorance and go figure out what the definition of a scab is. I am growing tired of all of you calling the RAH guys scabs. Learn what a scab is before you throw that term out there.

If anyone needs to man up here, it's the entire unionized pilot force in this country. Quit kicking each other in the rocks for taking a job to pay your bills. Man up, and suspend service nationwide, carrier wide, once a week through Labor Day weekend. The right seat of a Dash 8 will pay $16K for ever if organized labor continues to NOT be organized. Talk is cheap. Slamming some other guy for taking a job is easy when you weren't the guy looking for a job.
