RAH 190's Base and Pay Memo
#191
until republic pilots realize what they are doing, they will continue to be a cancer to the airline profession. They don't seem to get the facts.....same aircraft same or better pay. Republic pilots appear to think they don't deserve e190 pay rates. That is why they work at a sweat shop. Many pilots have worked years to better the profession. Maybe that is why some republic pilots entered the profession. As it goes now......republic pilots are bringing down the airline profession at a rapid pace. Per this site it appears republic pilots need to grow some b*lls and demand a proper contract. You have already distroyed many Midwest pilots careers overnight. You will never be respected in the industry by your peers unless you demand a industry leading e190 contract. Be advised it may be a tough commute if you continue in your ways! Just a few things to ponder.
2. How are RAH pilots doing anything to bring down the aviation career? Do you honestly think it's the pilots and not the managements? Would you say RAH pilots are more responsible for this than the Midwest pilots? What would you advise be done that isn't illegal and won't completely kill any chance that someone could work in this industry again?
3. A tough commute if we continue our ways? Meaning what? You think a JS war goes only one way? Once again don't be so naive. If you want to be taken serious try using a spell/grammar check and write like someone not stuck in the 6th grade.

Please explain how the PILOTS of Republic are bringing the industry down.
-Are the PILOTS negotiating deals with partners for more flying? NOPE
-Are the PILOTS willfully seeking out future opportunities to pick up mainline flying with E190 aircraft so that they won't have a future opportunity to fly for a better company? NOPE
-Did the PILOTS decide to bring the E190 on property in the first place? NOPE
-Did the PILOTS destroy Midwest pilots careers? NOPE
-You really think the PILOTS willfully work in a sweatshop? NOPE
-You really think the PILOTS want less than industry standard rates? NOPE
Don't confuse the decisions of management for which those in the cockpit have no control. Being a professional aviator yourself, it should not be difficult to comprehend what you do and do not have control over. Balls need to be grown by those who need to sit down, take a breath, and look at the situation from a distance. Throw the anger and disgust at where it belongs - Midwest management, primarily, then a couple other places. Not at the Republic pilot group (at least until contract negotiations are complete and there is an idea as to what the pay scales will be**)
**Not justifying the seizure of Midwest flying.

Do you consider JetBlue or US Airways REGIONALS?
They fly E190!
E190 are not considered regional jets in 2009. It's the Republic pilots responsibility to make sure professional pilots are paid the JetBlue pay scale (+/-) for the new 100 seat domestic jet market.
Why do you think Midwest/Delta/TPG is sending the flying our way?
answer... They hope you will fly it for regional payscales vs. the Midwest pilots who will not do it!

It's your contract
who voted for your current contract and pay rates? You
who decided to work for republic? You
Hey duck, thanks for the grammer lesson. I guess I will get better when I have 4800 posts like you. I don't think my old phone has spell/grammer check. Maybe my next phone will have better features.
I'm a pilut, I can't spell. Just to let you know I never made it to the 6th grade.
Cheers!

(Yes, I understand many current RAH pilots were not around when the last agreement was signed, but the union as a whole agreed to those terms.)

I do think there is some culpability that needs to go to the pilot group. In agreeing to pay scales for a particular type/size of aircraft you empower management to engage in these activities. If you don't want to fly them at a particular rate, then don't agree to that pay scale.
