Hey, no threadjacking... If you want to debate who should be flying to mexico, start your own thread!

Besides, if you're going off topic in my jumpseating thread, at least bash gojets or something.

MMMY during hurricane dean. we tried to refuse the flight but the "forecast" for airports around there was marginal. The hurricane was almost over top of MMEX and the outer bands of the storm were right on top of or about to be over Monterrey. HOLY ****! Nothing like getting windshear, in mexico, at night, on a dme arc to a Localizer, with some controller "yetlink cleared to switch to center (they meant tower)"

Captain and i still laugh about it today.

Toronto to Houston, thats over 1300 miles on a 50 seat "regional" jet. I guess "regional" means anything in North America.

True, and I've used that joke plenty.

And this isn't against you, or any of the people you work with. But you really can't deny there are routes the Q400 does that should be done by a mainline aircraft.

EWR - MYR. 737 crew making 160,000 combined or a q400 making 75 grand combined with almost no work rules. we could do this all day. nice try at a cheap shot though.

And last time I checked you and the Captain in your 145 make a lot less than any 737 mainline crew whose route you are flying.

Yes, I agree EWR-MYR should be mainline....But so should EWR-ATL, there are 145's on that.

How about IAH-YYZ? IAH-IAD?

Your logic is a joke.

Yes there are a few indeed. But this is not against you but the morons on here who call Colgan the problem and then fly 3 hours in a 50 seat RJ and think it is ok because they get "industry leading" regional airline pay, failing to realize that it is still a lot less than any mainline aircraft flying that route.

How is it you can think logically and others just can not?

Thanks, wouldn't take it as such.

Agree, true. In the winter time that leg blows. It can be closer to 4 hours.

Don't know, must be the Guiness. I could probably speculate but that could get ugly
