According to teleconference call, the recalls will continue, but no numbers/dates from the company yet.

"And the reason for the vaca/disp in the northeast is that they want to move guys from JFK to LGA????"

Well, duhhhh!! But what's the reason why???

I was in que but had to leave after listening for 45 mins. Can someone post what they say about that, if it gets brought up. Thanks.

Basically nothing, Andy L (JFK CA) called and asked specifically about that and the jetbridge swap LOA. The company is holding the LOA hostage until we agree on a co-domicile, but they havent made any proposals and the union isnt looking to get into a co-dom negotiation right now. Apparently LGA has 1000hrs more flying than JFK and this vacancy bid will balance it out. The lines in LGA will be more commuter friendly with this vacancy as well.

Seems AA Marketing forced the JFK base situation on Eagle because they thought the international demand would pick up a lot faster than it has. The whole thing hasn't turned out the way they intended or hoped it would.

Still seems like a crappy reason to displace more than 25% of the crews out of JFK, they have really been jerking around the NE people. My personal opinion is they are planning on CRJs doing a bunch of the JFK flying. You heard it here first!

I spoke to CC from HR few days ago and I asked her few things. Since I was hired and put into the hiring pool, I asked about the status of the pool. Apparently the company still has everyone on file but since its been over 6 months from the date of interview, everyone would have to go through the interview again. As obvious, she has no idea when hiring will start but I think no one knows that. She did say when the hiring does start, the people in the hiring pool would have to meet the new minimums, but she has no idea what they will be, so I guess just building time for now wouldn't be such a bad idea.
I guess this sums it up for those in the "hiring pool"

I would love to fly a baron or something at night, carrying cargo. But teaching is not that bad, except that students are starting to thin out, no one is getting loans anymore, so its getting worse every semester.
