AE vac/disp bid
#21
Well I don't care what the company said about not using rsv "enough" I was hired in April 28th of 08 and furloughed in June 1st 09. Taking into account that I had the three months of initial with no flight time and I also bid part time lines once and a zero time line once. I dropped days and stayed home as much as I could because rsv was brutal and still ended up with over 600 hours of flight time total with the company. So if any FO's are under 1000 it can't be by much.
just sittin in the hiring pool...if it's still around

How were you hired the 28th??? I was hired April 15, 2008, went to the jet orientation but they canceled the FO training a week before...I never made it to training, I'm guessing you went right to dallas instead of going to the orientation.

Yeah, eagle paid for the jet transition course, but you have to pay the taxes on it. The company used it for a tax write off evidently. We didn't get paid while we are in the course, but our hotel and travel to/from was covered. That just goes to show you how much they were scrambling to hire pilots just a little over a year and a half ago.

Looks like MIA just went pretty senior. I thought American was growing Miami, and it's not like the reserve list is a mile long. ATR instructors are returning to the line- greener pastures on the jet folks, see you in ORD.

In addition to the lower time guys getting the jet course, they were also sending a few guys near 1000TT that were "shaky" in the Tech or Sim parts...I was hired @ 550TT and was scheduled for the transition course before being put in the pool...
