People need to remember that Republics CBA was negotiated before they even had 70 seaters. The 70 seaters were just a pipe dream and 190s? Not even on the radar. Personally I'm surprised the negotiating committee even had the forethought to put in place 75-99 seat rates.
How many turboprop regionals have actually have Airbus rates? Some things you just dont expect.

I certainly wouldn't wish this on any of my former Lynx friends. I think the last thing any of them want is anything to do with RAH. I for one hope they can move on to other companies that will treat them with the respect they deserve and pay them at the professional rate they exhibit.
Thanks for the thoughts Waldo, good flying with you though brief.
Lets say we do get recalled to RAH, will it be in Denver? Will the Midwest pilots get the 190's in MKE? Or will we all be able to bid into the system as our seniority permits? If it's the last, commuting for an RJ job even at your pay rates in not acceptable. I will probably eat my words but no thanks.

I agree with you both...I really never wanted anything to do with RAH and Denver was about as far as I was willing to commute for a regional. Unless something amazing happens with the SLI (highly doubtful), I most likely won't bother accepting the recall (if it comes) as I'd rather wait for something better.

XJT's 2004 CBA was negotiated 1. after RAH's 2003 CBA and 2. while you were the exclusive jet operator for CAL. RAH's CBA was negotiated with 1. a looming threat for an alter-ego Republic Airlines and 2. months after Mesa signed their abortion of a 2003 CBA. Since then, you guys also got a contract extension that extended those payrates as you spooled up branded/charter ops.

Its very shortsighted to negotiate these types of things ahead of time.

You are Aware that Lynx Captains fly a 70 seat airplane for less than RAH's 37 seat rate....Why make this so personal, I'm embarrassed to be a pilot when I look on this forum because pilots seem like such whiny b#$%'s. It's freakin business. Mainline pilots who were too good to fly small planes 30 years ago started this mess and young pilots trying to find a reasonable job are now blamed for it, whine about that.
If these forums embarass your obviously pious feelers, there are other venues.
Since you're new here, alot of pilots treat this forum like the crew lounge, where they can get info, rumors, blow off steam, b.s., etc.
The people running some regionals now, (Rev BB, J.O., Hulas, to name a few) saw Frank Lorenzo as a role model instead of Herb Kelliher and it's hard to NOT take things personally when your livelihood hangs in the balance. You do understand that, right? Ya, it's "freakin' business", and alot of crews are getting "freak"-ed by Republic.
btw,
Mainline pilots DID fly small planes 30 years ago, (new-hires at Pan Am started in small aircraft and worked up to the panel on the 727) Also, when the regional jet arrived, those mainline pilots you refer to wanted them flown for mainline rates, but the companies wanted no part of that! They gave up scope for promises that were broken before the ink dried on the paperwork. But, hey...it's "freakin' business"!!

They ( mainline pilots) gave up scope for more $$$. Greed let the first contract carrier get it's foot in the door. People want to go around and blame people for not being unified when that unity was broken for more $$$, I guess thats their freakin business though.

Ok, so what do you have to say about Lynx pay rates compared to RAH?

When FAH filed chapter 11, everyone at F9/L4 took pay cuts, we now were the lowest paid Q400 pilots in the world.
We were told that upon exiting bankruptcy we would get our pay restored, BB put an end to that when RAH took over, thanks.

We were told that the pay rates were on paper only and would change to Horizon Q400 rates when certification was complete, never happened.
