The Title says Eagle life; so here is my question. I got hired by AE, and have the carity aloft pro headset. I love them, the are the most comfortable headset around. I have heard issues with them having bleed through on the emb145's. Does anyone working for Eagle, flying eagle's planes have had these issues? If so, are the issues on all the EMB's, does it effect you from doing your job, does it effect the other pilot, is it something to deal with? Just would hate to have to switch after putting down $700 for them. Any feed back would help. Thanks

Never understood the reason on spending $500-1k on headsets when your first year of pay will be almost close to poverty levels. Be smart, save that cash. The company provides DC on each airplane for your use.

I used the company DC's for a long time. I asked lots of questions about the different headsets that guys were using. Then I used eBay to get some deals until I found one I liked. I used one for a little while then resold it on eBay. Gotta give it to the Lightspeed Mach 1. Best one I found.

But I guess if you're strapped for cash, put $2 a day in a jar and when you finish your probie ride treat yourself to a decent set. Your ears will thank you.

Most pilots already own a headset. Most also value their hearing and their health. I've seen guys with puss filled skin lesions and herpes on their face wear the company sets. The alcohol wipes won't kill everything. Also, your headset will fit very nicely inside your kit bag if you only carry the manuals you are required to carry. Only carry the manuals you are required to carry. If you hurt your back and claim injury on duty, the first thing the company will do is look at your kit bag. If you have every manual they will say you are SOL.
