Thanks to the whole problem since 911, those CAs got stucked and didn't went to the mayors, doing Eagle as their career.

Simple math,,, 15 yr capt - 10 year stuck for 911 and oil price = 5 year. (they where senior Fo or recently upgraded captain at that moment)

This is my analysis, if I'm wrong someone correct me.
Yeah, another FNG blaming the senior group. Would you think its a good idea for those senior CA's to take paycuts? Thats ok, we ALL take them as well, after all, Every FO here is overpaid as well.
Go pound sand.

There arent many options for divestiture except a spin off to existing AMR shareholders. Every share of AMR stock will be worth X shares of AMR and Y shares of Eagle Airlines after a spin.

If I was an AMR shareholder and all of a sudden I was given some share of a company with an outdated fleet, no guaranteed feed contract, and high costs compared to other regional carriers then I would be ****ed!

If we are spun off it will be very hard to gain feed flying through traditional agreements because companies like Skywest/ASA/XJT and Republic/CHQ have such a huge relationship already built with the major legacies.

I am sure AMR has a business plan in mind and wants us to do well so they can get a return on their investment, but I dont think it will be a traditional business model that we have seen in todays US airline industry.

I doesn't matter to the FNG because they haven't worked to get to that level of pay. One, or if, they get to that level; they're gonna sing a different tune.

Well, based on his theory, new hires, FO's here are overpaid as well then. They make more than a handful of other regionals. i.e Mesa,GreatLakes, Colgan, etc.

Dude, you have no clue. The biggest problem/issues that any pilot group faces, is other pilots in the group. Management doesn't have to do a thing. Companies sink or swim with their pilot group.

When the time comes for us to be divested, there is nothing any of use can do. The union can only try to soften the blow and save as many jobs as possible. An airline company is a business just like wally world or burger king. Except, they don't have to deal with a pilot group.

For us, it's always gonna be about the individual and money. There isn't a swinging d!ck that would do this for free no matter how much they say that they love flying. I love aviation too, but I be damn if I won't do it for free. Money is everything!

Agreed, pilots are their own worst enemy.

Wow, in my interview next week when asked the famed "Why Eagle?" question silly me was going to answer "well...from reading the forums it seems that most of your pilots seem happy working for Eagle, and happy with each other...blah blah blah...and THAT'S why I want to work here!". Maybe I should rethink that answer. Lol. Anyone have a better one? Haha
