What base has the shortest reserve sit and *generally* the most commutable trips? A friend sent the CRJ lines in ORD and for the most part the trips had really commutable lines. I'm still in ATL, and have thought about moving to DFW, but now may stay because of a short reserve sit and commutability. Has anyone done ATL-ORD?

Back on theme...Embraer if they don't have DFW EMB you can have NY EMB or ORD EMB and wait for the new vacancy bid. There was a bunch of vacancies DFW EMB in this last one. (like 20ish - 30ish, don't remember)

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I heard if you put in for a transfer early enough you can usually get it by the time you are out of training.

For commuting purposes, what would you guys say is easier from DFW: ORD or JFK/LGA? Checking flights it seems there are more between DFW and ORD, plus no time zone change.

Yeah...DFW to ORD have more chances. But you always have Jet Blue to fly you JFK.

Jetblue doesnt fly to DFW.... yet...There is only 1 daily flight from DFW-JFK on AA, and one daily flight on a Delta CRJ900. Tons of DFW-LGA flights on AA, but the cab ride to JFK would run ya 16-20 bucks. I'd chose DFW-ORD commute.

If you plan on staying at Eagle until you upgrade then seriously consider moving to a base. Life is 10 times better when you live where you are based.

Busjock, You set the tone with your first post/rant. What kind of response did you expect? I'm not defending the responses but you catch more flies with honey than you do with vineger.
