You'll most likely have that DFW choice. When I got hired, you could pick any base you wanted.

I'll be sure to post the class breakdown tomorrow afternoon after class.

I drove out today to make sure I know how to get there. I got in through the security gate by showing them my official offer letter

Loved the flight academy! I took a few pictures of the "American Airlines Flight Academy" sign out front...tried to get a picture of that sign in the entrance that says, "through these doors walk the best trained flight crews" but the lighting screwed it up...

Can't wait for tomorrow! I'll probably be in the lobby by 6:30...what time does the hotel shuttle drop everybody else off?

I'm sure they don't say explicitly, but any idea why they've been sending people home early? Seems like if you have your paperwork and logbooks in order and aren't a total goon, they at least have you there most of the day, no?

I think most importantly is be HONEST and forth coming about any past issues. If they find out something that was not reported on the airline apps, i have heard that is an automatic ticket home.

They did not tell us who was sent home or why.

Once you get a company ID you can go to the CR SMith Museum for free, and it has a lot of cool history. It is right by the cafeteria in the academy. You should also have an entire class picture taken in front of the DC3 in the museum, its a cool experience. Let us know how Day 1 goes!

Thanks, I figured as much. I'm probably worrying too much about it for no reason. I've got no checkride failures and two speeding tickets which were disclosed on my application. Not getting the offer is one thing but getting sent home early has got to be the worst.
