Pvt msg me for the landlords info. Your gna pay out of the :) for transportation from Kew Gardens to LGA. And its at least an hour bus from Kew Gardens to JFK.

Good point on $ for Kew to LGA. "Walking Distance" would be nice, though I've heard the highway is very difficult to cross, so a walk that would seemingly be 5 minutes can easily turn into 15+. Anyone have any information on Crash Pads in the immediate vicinity of LGA?

you "heard" wrong... the same bridges that let vehicles cross over the highway to enter/leave the airport all have this modern thing called a sidewalk next to them.

take the dollar rent-a-car shuttle, tip the driver, and walk across the street to the Zpad...

it's been years, but I'm sure it's still there

Just curious..can anyone verify what i've heard about 300 more new hires in 2011 at Eagle?

Why on Earth do we need that many?

If you follow the AA Recall Rumor thread on this site there has been talk of recalls announced by the end of 2010. So far we havent heard a peep from an official source, but the pieces add up. Supposedly, all AA 737 sim instructors have been called back to the schoolhouse and they have been recruiting more instructors which would signal a big increase in training. If AA starts recalling they will have to go through approx 80 furloughed AA guys, then will call by seniority order. We have approx 216 AE CAs waiting for a call as a part of that process, so that could signal a big movement here at Eagle.

Latest rumors say that the recalls should have been announced already, but someone from high up the food chain at AMR has delayed this because of other related discussions. Stay tuned.

I've also heard that they are slowing down the retirements of the MD-80's. So with the deliveries of the 73's and not taking out as many MD-80's as they thought would trigger some movement as well.

Shifting money between the two companies in order to show a loss in the third quarter:rolleyes:

Well...all you new hires won't be coming to SJU officially..they're downsizing the base by 40% starting in April to just 8 airframes. Appx 70 total pilots.
