The 300 pilots expected to be hired at Eagle in 2011 is an ASSUMPTION, AKA a projection. Do not confuse this with a certainty. It is a plan only and many variables that are expected to happen, may not.

I've been in the airline game long enough to know its mostly gray skies and turbulent. (please just the facts leave the emotions on the pillow). Just want to know how those out there in the trenches see it!

old fleet, old pilots, old news. drastic changes to get it in line with other feed. then other feed brought in to whipsaw eagle. that about sums it up. all atr's gone in less than 4 yrs. Only 80+ embs that are 50 seats, the rest have less - probably going to the desert sooner than later. will have 47 CRJ's assuming deliveries continue - these are marginal with fuel at $95 a barrel - good times!

Unless you guys cracked up a bunch of jets, there were 206 EMB's
37 were 135, and a slightly larger number were 140's.... perhaps the 80 number you were thinking of... but the vast majority were 145's as I recall.

Does anyone have anything new about a MIA jet base?

wiki says:
23... 135's
59... 140's
118.. 145's
total emb's = 200

*18 emb-135's were parked and one was writen off as total loss.(airfleets.com)

started with 39 135's
all the 900 numbers are 145's = goes to 942 so 42 or 43
600's are 145's = that is the mystery. I am told 80+ 145's

Talk to A.O. in the recruitment dept. Hiring to continue indefinitely. Started at 750 apps now they are down to only 400. With no end in sight for hiring that spells shortage coming up this time next year. Look for positive changes with AA and AE in the future.
