I should hit the 100 multi requirement by the end of July and signing a contract is not appealing to me in the least. Now that I published my app, if I get to interview, and things go well I fear that they may push this contract on me when I am so close to 100 hours. I don't want any contract but I also want the job.
On another issue: I am targeting Eagle primarily because I want ORD. I want to live in-base with family there. How good would you guys say my chances are of getting ORD from the start at 30 years old?
Base is my priority. Eagle is my first pick. Should I skip to ExpressJet or Skywest for a better chance at ORD?
Practical advice is appreciated.

Pretty sure ORD is junior at all 3. If you really want Eagle just do the interview and wait until you get 100hrs multi for class. You probably wouldn't be able to get a date before the end of July now anyway.

1.It makes sure that the pilot can fly an ILS app.(basic 101 stuff) prior to coming to training.
2.Creates the SJS early on,so when the new hire gets the ATR right of the bat, his or her dreams will get shattered. The fact is that at 500hr he-she cant even fly a prop, worse yet a shiney new jet.

Everyone who I have talked to that has flown the ERJ/CRJ says the systems on the ATR are harder to learn and the airplane is harder to fly. My understanding is that the hardest part about flying the ERJ is getting your big SJS head in the door

Can U pls elaborate point # 2... "SJS...." ??? Sorry, I am getting used to the terminology.....
Do U mean that people who RJ course will get the Jet because they will do RJ course and have a foundation or it is just to by pass insurance requirements.
The people may still get ATR even after doing the RJ course.

He was trying to be funny. Sjs is shiny jet syndrome. I.e. Guys/girls who feel like they are entitled to fly a jet and feel like their world fell apart cause they got a turboprop. Junior (younger) guys are more likely to get the atr because of how you pick base/equipment (oldest to youngest in class) in ground school.

Heard from a former coworker that Eagle has accepted delivery of all the CRJ-700 aircraft that they ordered, and believes they're fully staffed for those planes already. Maybe the only hiring into the CRJ would be attrition. Completing the CRJ course would still be helpful for transitioning to a regional jet, regardless of Embraer or Bombardier.
