This could be changing since the hiring on the ATR has dwindled off to almost nothing. People from my March class are holding lines right out of IOE while myself and the other ATR guys are going to be on the bottom in DFW or MIA for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I just published my app yesterday with 1300/80 as I heard of the drop in mins. I am a bit hesitant though and am looking for advice on a few things.
I should hit the 100 multi requirement by the end of July and signing a contract is not appealing to me in the least. Now that I published my app, if I get to interview, and things go well I fear that they may push this contract on me when I am so close to 100 hours. I don't want any contract but I also want the job.
On another issue: I am targeting Eagle primarily because I want ORD. I want to live in-base with family there. How good would you guys say my chances are of getting ORD from the start at 30 years old?
Base is my priority. Eagle is my first pick. Should I skip to ExpressJet or Skywest for a better chance at ORD?
Practical advice is appreciated.

Have a question for a buddy of mine. He is an A & P mechanic and IA and is curious to what mechanic pay is. What is starting pay and how does it increase and how do they pick maitenance bases?

To expand on what ERJ said, there's a negotiated limit that AA & AE agreed on that will be used up by the time the bottom 2/3 of AE gains enough seniority to be where flow through used to be.
