Yeah, of all days I finally got the "2-Day" email (Sunday). Hopefully the review goes well! For others waiting on that 2 Day email, it was almost a week from hitting the 100 hour ME time to getting it (it was before they lowered it to 50). So patients! I thought it was almost automatic because once I updated with 100 hours ME, I got all these emails for interviews within 24 hours. Hang in there!

******NEW MINIMUM***********

American Eagle Airlines is excited to announce that we have adjusted our current hiring minimum. Our hiring goals are expected to exceed 670 pilots in 2011, and we foresee hiring to continue into 2012. Our new hiring minimums are as follows:

OPTION 1:
500 Total Time with 50 Multi-Engine
Successful completion of the Recruitment Process
Successful completion of ATP’s Regional Jet Standards Course (Paid in full by American Eagle Airlines)
Two year signed commitment to fly for American Eagle Airlines

OPTION 2:
For pilots who have 800 total time and 100 multi will not be subject to the Regional Jet Standards Course or the signed two year commitment. If you are interested in a pilot position with American Eagle, please email us at [email protected].

Quick question for those who have either attended class already or are privy to the class details ... what's been the average age for newhires? If one is 22 years old, does that essentially mean you should expect to get SJU due to how bases are picked?

Thanks in advance.

There's no way in hell I'll do that. The ATR no problem, but not living internationally.

First, San Juan is not international.
Second, your attitude is not wanted at Eagle so stay the hell away.
Last you would be surprised to know that San Juan is an easier commute from the east coast and the flying is amazing and you can normally transfer away from San Juan with in a few months.

Someone hasn't interview yet & people don't like this guy's attitude already......

I'd go to North or south pole, if that's the base avail, if I get to fly for Eagle. I think this is the struggle period & one should go with open mind & learning attitude.

Anyways, Talking abt SJU, Can U pls shed more light abt SJU, like does one have to move there or how easy will it be commutable from MCO & one can just get a crashpad. I know islands are ususally expensive, is SJU expensive to live........

I'd move temporarily, or try to get other equipment and domicile. Two leg commute through DFW, flights are always full, plus the flight time to SJU is close to 4hrs going, and a few more coming back. Life would suck. I wouldn't do it, but I've never been a commuter either. Someone once said to me, spend your per diem, get married once, live where you work. I'd say that is accurate.

I already have my AirlineApps filled out and published for Eagle. I do not have any internal recs. Should I email this address? What do you recommend I say? should I include a resume?
