Anyone in the August 15th class? I wonder what the age of the average new hire is.

Hello, this is my very first message on here...Are you saying Eagle has increased the requirements to apply since the AA number news?
I have 805 total 34 ME, do you think I have to wait for 100multi to apply or can I go ahead and do it once I reach the 50 multi? Thanks

My friend is in that class. He is 28ish. Coming from Air Wisky.
Just saying moving should be vertical, not lateral. |
Thanks PilotJ3 for your input.
One more question: I have had a couple of speeding tickets in the past and they are not in my driving record (I took the traffic classes etc...so they are not on my record). The question is do I have do disclose them on the App? Also, is the ATP written required to apply (I am working on it now!) |

Flywife - for your husband to get MIA, right now the ERJ is probably the best bet from what I have seen as far as newer guys getting base transfers. Its not too hard to transfer bases, but it may take him a few months for MIA. If nothing else have him take Dallas and put in a base transfer request at the first opportunity. Many new guys are getting their transfers completed before finishing training. |

First of all, uless he plans on staying on the ATR (most want to transfer after the 1 year seat lock due to the significant pay differences), he would be going through two long term training cycles in Dallas of approximately 4 months total out of 14 months. Assuming he gets awared the EMJ right away. Second, I heard that the commute from Orlando to Miami is rather difficult. I know a lot of captains that commute to Chicago out of Orlando instead of Miami because of the larger planes and many more options. -just what i've heard on the line Third, I think the schedules and trip trading option once you are able to hold a line are much better on the EMJ. Although, I will admit, you probably will hold a line much sooner on the ATR. Finally, you have the option of transferring to any base except SJU if you were to decide to move at a later date. Just my thoughts... |
Stryker, not sure simple traffic tickets will show up on the NDR, plus it's been more than 5, 6 years. I want to disclose them but the issue is how to track them down to find the exact dates? One was in FL and the other in TX where I live now.

Lateral movement??? Starting in First Year payment again?? Be at the bottom of the seniority list again?? Not good! Just saying moving should be vertical, not lateral. |

There is a thread specially for Traffic Tickets & Eagle. http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/as...han-10-yr.html If it is not on the driving record provided by your state, it is not reflected anywhere. If U take driving school, the LAW of your state removes that item from your record & insurance companies or employers can't see it. Best is get a DMV printout in all states you have had a drivers License from. |

Good way to demonstrate your honesty. |

We are really hoping (well, I at least am really hoping) he'll be domiciled in MIA since we live in Orlando. What planes do they fly out of MIA?

If you don't answer, that's a lie. I had 20+ years of driving history. I had many tickets over the years. none where on my record anymore. However I did report to the best of my memory what tickets I did have(I honestly could not remember details of them all, when I was 16-17 I had a few lol). I was never asked a single question about them! I could have said 0 and they PROBABLY would have not found out. |
