So the type of aircraft you get depends on your age? Did I read that correctly?

Seniority is assigned day one of class. It is by age. Oldest gets the highest seniority.
Then they list available aircraft and domiciles. They will list EMJ DFW, EMJ ORD, CRJ ORD etc. You pick your Aircraft/Base in seniority order. This is all done within the first couple hours on day 1.

Anyone in the August 15th class? I wonder what the age of the average new hire is.

can you explain the logic on this, because the jet is also coming up short, esp w upgrades, ATR makes up such a small amount of the fleet that you might see 3 ATR for every 25 Jet spots, because of so many upgrades, as opposed to seat locks on the ATR. I guess if your like 21 you might end up ATR. Also isnt the ATR going to start getting parked soon?

Lots of ATR FO's are going to the jets plus a lot of SJU FO's transferring to MIA and DFW thus opening up a bunch of SJU FO spots.

That's great!! My husband is 36!

Flywife 08-05-2011 10:29 AM

We are really hoping (well, I at least am really hoping) he'll be domiciled in MIA since we live in Orlando. What planes do they fly out of MIA?

flysooner9 08-05-2011 10:39 AM

We fly ATR's and ERJ's. Tell your husband to bid the ERJ anywhere and he can always transfer to MIA.

Hello, this is my very first message on here...Are you saying Eagle has increased the requirements to apply since the AA number news?
I have 805 total 34 ME, do you think I have to wait for 100multi to apply or can I go ahead and do it once I reach the 50 multi?
Thanks
