There will be only 225 FOs in ORD when everyone that has been awarded a CA bid goes to class.

As well as transfers to other bases, but this only includes up to the newest class, each class in the future that has ORD EMJ slots will add in more people before that final time arrives in which that hypothetical number would be reached of 225. So by say Jan 2012 it will still be 280ish.
I heard that the september upgrade classes will be mainly ORD FOs.

i never noticed a difference up front, but there may be a noticeable one in the back

"battle" is accurate. 1/2 problems are poor engineering, (ex emergency light wires exposed right next to main door steps, so pax feet and bags rip the wires and we're grounded) 1/2 problems are from ground handling and such (ex all powered up and ready to turn #2, ask for air to be removed and they shut the whole ground cart off and airplane goes to battery basic. no bueno for the electrical system). the airplanes are also getting old.

I believe that's how it's done. When are you interviewing?

The 10th, next Wednesday.

Flywife 08-04-2011 06:16 PM

My husband interviewed with about 13 candidates today; 6 were given conditional offers, including him. Pending review board, background check, and jetbridge course if you have less than 1000/100, you've got the job. We're super excited :)

My husband DID say that of the 13 people, 5 were eliminated due to improper paperwork, so make sure you get the paperwork done correctly! :)

Because no one on the ERJ can bid into it even tho probably 50% would like to.

Yea farting around at .85 and 410 might be once or twice but I'll take my infinitely larger selection of overnights and wider variety of domicile options any day. I think many would agree (on the FO side that is).

Congrats to you and your husband flywife. Tell him to enjoy his time now cause training is your life for about 2 months. It will be a great step for both of you.

Thank you! I think he (and I) are ready for it! It will be challenging, but we'll make it work. I am so proud of him!

It's not that bad. If he gets the jet, he'll be home the second week doing computer base training. And every other time he will be home waiting for SIM or IOE. Because the training department is so full I've seen guys waiting for sim two weeks in home. Then after finishing they have to wait two weeks or more for IOE.

How old is he???

During training it will be very fast paced. So be patience with him if it gets a little of bad humor.

Good luck? Hope he pass the review board and medical. (should be no problem at all). Tell him to go to his current and previews employers tomorrow and get the paperwork done.

Remember him, seniority is everything. So as soon as he have a class date will be better.

What else?? If you have more question feel free to private message me.
