Not going to argue. I went in the 90's. The cost from then to now, is a lot more. But I will argue the training was a lot more intense than 61. I instructed 61 after I graduated, and no DE put my students through the ringer like I got on a regular basis 141. But it's an individual choice, where ever you want to train is up to you.

Really any 141 or 142 school is typically going to be better than a 61 school. ATP is one exception of course, they are very well organized. With part 61 you never really know what you are getting, could be great but many times kind of shady.

I know its hard but be patient FAA records request can take 10 days They use US mail whereas employers can fax things .Its always a good idea to request copies be sent to you so you know approx when an employer recieves his copies . I wish you luck on the review board !fp

One guy in my class wore an orange shirt and was called Salmon by MS for the rest of training. Another guy made the mistake of wearing an aqua/purple striped shirt and was called Sherbet for the next 3 weeks.
Overall I was extremly happy I got MS. I managed to stay under his radar so I never got yelled at...or locked out of the class coming back from breaks..so maybe that has something to do with it.
