I realize this question has been answered prob multiple times in this forum/thread but what if your hours on the pre-interview packet is off by 1 hour or more?
I'm not really talking about my application, I'm talking about the flight time grid adding PIC + SIC + Dual Rec(Student) = Total and comparing that to the total in your logbook??
Thanks.

Not sure what they are going to do with all these new pilots. I will be interviewing soon and if successful, I will be cutting my pay by 80% (yes, call me crazy if you'd like!). I just hope they won't be furloughing soon if things go south!

Now it's 500 more, not 700?

So why is everyone who comes on board now a days complain about the the pay? It is a known fact what all the regional pay scales are? Are they low? Yes but you are starting at an entry level job. Especially since most folks are former CFI's. The pay goes up with your experience. Till you get some experience doing something you have never done before, it's called paying your dues. And yes you may think you have it figured out, but since most folks have never flown 121, there will be a lot to learn. I wish you luck, but if you get hired, come in with a good attitude, and be willing to learn. You will go from being a CFI to a student all over again.

Yes, totally agree with you there. I have to start somewhere, and I know I have EVERYTHING to learn! I will be leaving an IT engineering career for something totally new to me, so yes I am ready and eager to learn! My point is the entry level for such a job is too low! Thanks for wishing me luck, we always need some! And BTW, thanks for not calling me crazy!
Absolutely nothing against you, but that is EXACTLY how the general public reacts when they hear about airline pilot salaries

Hiring #s are always fluid . No one can tell you the move you make is a good one I do know the majors will be hurting for pilots in two years what you do with your life is up to you . No one here can tell you what decision to make . My situation is different then yours. the #s quoted came from a very reliable source However if furloughs begin I know i will be 500 from bottom if things go south The sooner you get hired the more of a buffer from furlough FP

Have a question about jumpseating. I'm in a new hire class for Eagle right now in DFW and I'm thinking about going home for the weekend. On the travel planner it looks like I should have no problem getting home, but coming back there are about 6 flights and they all appear to be fully booked and some even overbooked. I don't want to risk not making it back so I probably won't go, but I am curious what the opinion would be of all you jumpseat pros. I have never jumpseated before so I don't know what the odds are that I would not make it on at least one of those 6 flights coming back (they are all AA).
